Portable video systems werel be built and used in a series of by-catch evaluations to demonstrate the effectiveness of these techniques in understanding gear performance and fish behavior. A manual was be written with sources for video cameras and recorders, power supplies and cables, so fishermen can obtain the equipment to perform their own fisheries research. The ROV is now part of the F/V Ocean Reporter underwater equipment and was used in  the the  tests and studies.

We now have the 27 page manual completed.  The use of LED lights is also being added to the manual with lux depth reports.
