Captain Bill Lee

Captain Bill Lee is Coast Guard licensed and has been a commercial fisherman out of Rockport, MA since 1974. He designed and built his fishing vessel, Ocean Reporter, as well as a complete underwater video system. After 38 years of commercial fishing and doing boat repairs he went to Chapman School of Seamanship and graduated as a marine surveyor.

Captain Lee has been involved in fisheries research since 1986. Some of his recent projects include a Fish Grate Study and a Baited Underwater Video study, both for the Northeast Consortium. He has produced and sold hundreds of underwater videos, the most recent are Trawls, Nets and Doors and Scallop Dredges, Float Frame B Day Haddock Net.  Currently he is working on Fish & Lobster Behavior In the Gulf of Maine and an on-going Salem State Mussel Study.
